As women we are taught by society from a very young age that our worth is tied to our looks, size and shape. If we do not measure up to society standards, often a shame spiral can take root. This is not who God calls us to be.
The Bible tells us that we are created in the image of God, and yet it is quite another thing to actually know this belief in your body. To be in love with the body God gave you, while knowing it is your responsibility to steward it well and not get caught up in the diet-obsessed world.
Even among Christian circles it is common for the latest diet fad and body shaming conversations to take place. This can lead to a lifetime of shame, frustration and never feeling enough in your body.
Society sees body-image as a superficial issue, but it is a spiritual issue. The Lord wants to set you free in this area. He wants peace for you in your relationship with your body.
