Bone Broth
INGREDIENTS:
Purified water (enough to fill your slow cooker or Crockpot)
Bones of whatever animal you have. (We love to make an entire turkey, save the carcass, make homemade turkey soup after that initial meal and then use the bones for bone broth. We also eat rotisserie chickens on the regular so we freeze the carcass and save it until we have many bones to fill a crock pot. SO hippie! GO US!)
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tsp pink himalayan sea salt
1-2 tsp fresh grated ginger
2 teaspoons ground sage
1 1⁄2 teaspoons ground thyme
1 teaspoon ground marjoram
3⁄4 teaspoon rosemary
1⁄2 teaspoon nutmeg
1⁄2 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
1 tbsp turmeric
2 medium onions, chopped
2-3 large carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
DIRECTIONS:
Add all ingredients to slow cooker.
Turn on high for 24 hours and leave.
Strain through cheese cloth 2-3 times to get out any chunks.
Put into mason jars and store in freezer for a few weeks or up to a year.
Drink 6-8 ounces per day for maximum gut health healing. Bonus is that you'll have glowing healthy skin and nails!
