About Exalted Health

As women we are taught by society from a very young age that our worth is tied to our looks, size and shape. If we do not measure up to society standards, often a shame spiral can take root. This is not who God calls us to be.

The Bible tells us that we are created in the image of God, and yet it is quite another thing to actually know this belief in your body. To be in love with the body God gave you, while knowing it is your responsibility to steward it well and not get caught up in the diet-obsessed world.

Even among Christian circles it is common for the latest diet fad and body shaming conversations to take place. This can lead to a lifetime of shame, frustration and never feeling enough in your body.

Society sees body-image as a superficial issue, but it is a spiritual issue. The Lord wants to set you free in this area. He wants peace for you in your relationship with your body.

Exalted Health's mission is to bring revival to women and their relationship in their bodies, to teach our community to rise up in vibrant health, and as an exalted daughter of the King.

What our clients say

"Exalted Health has taught me to accept my body, and still continue to take care of it in a healthy way. I used to strive to be perfect. Now, I am more aware of when I am slipping out of grace and into striving, and when I am eating my feelings. Now I have the tools to work with God to continue to establish healthy choices."

"If you need healing, Exalted Health is your solution! I’ve experienced many Sozo prayer healing appointments that have shifted who I am - given me healing and freedom but Exalted Health goes beyond these appointments because it helps free and heal the trauma that has been stuck in your body. I highly recommend Exalted Health - Jen is amazing - and I’m so grateful for the breakthrough I’ve experienced!"

"I had an incredible healing experience during my first appointment with Jen! I’m deeply grateful for the work God has called her to do—she is truly a gift. I look forward to more sessions and will eagerly recommend her to others."

"This experience with Jen is an emotional and spiritual game changer. Given the integration of our bodies to be multifaceted, pain can get stuck in the body and needs release. That expression 'the body keeps score' is true. I've walked way from every session freer, lighter and calmer. My emotional self has had its time to heal and my spiritual self has gained new ground. Where pain has been released, peace and joy have rooted. I highly recommend Jen and her Exalted Health Services.."

"Jen was very professional and helped me heal that next bit today. The music was soothing and it was very comfortable. She was compassionate and helped explain things I didn’t understand. Her gift is being used by God to bring healing, and I can’t wait for my next appointment."

"I had my first session with Jen yesterday and it was amazing! So much healing in just one session. I had a pain in my stomach for a while prior to my session and it's gone! I highly recommend Jen. God is working through her in a mighty way and she's an awesome person!"

What led you to start Exalted Health?

We have seen women who are stuck, struggling with trauma, health, weight issues, or have just forgotten the best part of themselves. Our heart is to empower women to find complete health by receiving healing in your mind, body and soul. What is the nervous system?

The nervous system includes the brain, spinal cord, and a complex network of nerves. This system controls all of the messages that are sent back and forth between the brain and the body. The brain is what controls all of the body's functions.

What is a disregulated nervous system?

Often caused by stress, the body is stuck in a sympathetic state where it goes into a form of hibernation, signaling that you’re in danger (even when no real danger may be present). This causes the body to store fat as a resource to survive. The digestive system also digests slower and minimally when it is in this “survival” mode.

How do I know if my nervous system needs to be regulated?

Are you feeling constantly on edge and unable to relax? Do you feel more anxious or stressed than at peace? Do you have trouble sleeping? Are you experiencing digestive issues, trouble controlling emotions, unresolved aches and pains, feeling sick often or frequent infections, trouble concentrating on tasks, irritable, or constant overthinking? All of these are can be signs and symptoms of a disregulated nervous system.

How are weight issues and nervous system disregulation related?

When the body is stuck on a flight or fight pattern, it is in constant survival mode which causes it to consistently release cortisol and adrenaline. This does not allow the rest of the body to function normally and specifically slows down any fat burning processes.

Why are you so sure my inability to lose weight and struggle with body image is linked to my nervous system being disregulated?

When the body is in a state of fight or flight, the body is releasing the hormones cortisol and adrenaline. These are survival hormones. When you are in this state, your body is solely focused on keeping you safe because it senses danger (real or imagined). Digestion slows and processing body fat is not a priority, thus adding on extra weight. This is not the ONLY reason for unwanted weight gain, because lifestyle is still the most important factor, but it is true in many cases.

What does "somatic" mean?

The definition of somatic means, "Affecting or characteristic of the body as opposed to the mind or spirit."

What does "bodywork" mean?

Bodywork consists of different therapies that are used to help you relax, relieve pain, and release trauma.

What is a Body Sozo?

This is a term often used to encompass what Jen Bayer does at Exalted Health. Sozo is an inner healing ministry. Exalted Health utilizes inner healing tools that are also used in Sozo ministry, however, Jen does not operate under the umbrella of Sozo. Somatic Bodywork is something Jen feels is her specific assignment from the Lord.

Is this "energy work" or new age?

No, Exalted Health Founder Jen Bayer follows the Holy Spirit's guidance. She does not engage in any new age practices of any kind.

What if I don't go to church or believe in God?

You are very welcome at Exalted Health, with full transparency that we believe in Jesus. He is the foundation of everything we do at Exalted Health and all of our teachings and principles used have a Biblical foundation.

What if I haven't had trauma, can you still help?

Chances are if you ended up here, you likely have some level of trauma or chronic emotions. The nervous system gets stuck in the "on" position and cannot rest, digest or heal. We're here to help you figure out the root of what you're experiencing and help you heal holistically in body, soul and spirit.
