Embodied Wellness: How to Make it a Lifestyle I Exalted Health

January 23, 20233 min read

Embodied wellness is about more than just physical health. It's about honoring and validating the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of yourself to create a unique holistic wellbeing. Learn how to restore balance in your life and reconnect with yourself to experience vibrant health and a greater sense of well-being. 1 Thesalonians 5:23 tells us that we are made of Spirit, Soul and Body. We need to steward all three well.

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Thessalonions 5:23

  1. Peace in Your Spirit

Nourishing your relationship with the Father through prayer, meditating on His word and reflection can be incredibly rewarding. Taking a few moments to bask in His presence will not only bring you peace and joy, but also direction on how best to live life!

If you find sitting still hard to do, I find walking and just connecting with Him a great way to tune into His presence. I have also recorded multiple guided meditations that can help tune into Him and nourish your spirit.

  1. Peace in Your Soul (Mind, Will and Emotions)

Silence and stillness can bring a sense of peace and clarity that is beneficial to our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Taking time out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life to be in silent stillness and presence of God can help us to become more present and aware of ourselves and our environment. Find regular moments throughout your day to simply take a few deep breaths, do some mindful stretching. All these little moments are where true transformation begins.

  2. Listening to your body. Speaking life over it, nourshing it with healthy foods and finding activities where movement feels joyful and nourshing rather than punishment.

Finally, embracing vulnerability is key when it comes to cultivating embodied wellness. Vulnerability means allowing yourself to open up emotionally about what’s going on in your life without fear or judgment. This includes being honest about how you’re feeling physically as well as mentally/emotionally. Once you begin sharing openly with yourself (and others) about these topics, it becomes easier to move forward on the path towards healing and wellbeing.

Conclusion:

Embodied wellness is an approach to health that focuses on Spirit, Soul and Body. By making embodied wellness a lifestyle choice, women who struggles with their bodies can learn how to cultivate acceptance for their physical forms while building healthy relationships with themselves (and others). Ultimately this journey involves listening carefully to one’s own inner voice so that we can better understand our unique needs for optimal health and wellbeing!    Remember—you are worthy of love no matter what shape or size your body may be! Start exploring ways that you can make embodied wellness part of your lifestyle today!

My favorite verses to meditate on when I am needing a greater sense of peace in my life and especially in my body.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5.

Jen Bayer

My name is Jen Bayer. I am a Wife, Mom to two boys, and Holistic Health Coach and the founder of Exalted Health.  I struggled for YEARS with body image issues, and chronic health issues. For over 30 years I tried every diet and fitness program available to try to finally "arrive" at a weight I thought would make me happy. The Lord started to speak to me about this area of my life years ago, and since then has brought so much freedom to my life. I have worn many different sizes over the years, and I feel more freedom now in a larger size than I ever did when I wore a smaller size.  I now rest in the fact that my value and worth comes from Christ alone. No number on the scale, no pants size or achievement can bring the peace and rest that He can.  I have been a business owner in the health and nutrition field since 2008. I have helped thousands of people transform their health, and their faith walk. My mission and greatest desire is to lead women to the cross, and in a deeper healing journey with Jesus. I have been trained in biblically sound unique methods to guide you in your healing process, and to teach you to walk in greater authority in Christ.
