The human body is made up of three parts - Spirit, Soul and body. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
We often try to fix only those physical symptoms or change the way we think when addressing long-healing in our lives; but what about dealing with sin? Trauma from past experiences that were never healed properly can also cause deep wounds on your spiritual wellbeing as well!
Spirit wounds come from three different sources - sin (something wrong we've done), trauma(amazingly tough thing which happens like an accident)and generational injustice; all these things pile up over time until we feel like our lives are out of control.
That’s why changes can be so hard to make long term, we have to change the ROOT of the problem. I struggled with major health issues for years, until I got to the root of the problem. I had wounds that needed to be healed. Once I was able to clean these areas up, I learned to walk in the righteousness that had already been won for me by Jesus on the cross and my life changed completely.
Wounds can cause strongholds in our lives that can keep us stuck, they can keep us sick, cause us to sin, and abuse our bodies with alcohol or over eating unhealthy foods. They can cause negative emotions, they can cause trouble in relationships, financial struggles, and total chaos.
